About the Author

laceyfamilyJohn Lacey is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and currently lives in Knoxville with his wife Liz and children Campbell and Liam. His writing style can be characterized as folk stories for children with the Southern charm, good nature and humor of early America. “I try to inject humor into my stories and make them fun not only for children, but also adults that read them. Some of my favorite stories to read my own children are the “Adventures of Frog and Toad” by Arnold Lobel. My daughter and I often laugh outloud at the dialogue and scenarios Frog and Toad get into.” John’s writing is also influenced by his love for Western novels and the bravery, exploration and discovery that defined America in the 19th century.
